Lafayette Book Fair

Lafayette School PTO hosts our annual Book Fair benefiting Lafayette's Library Media Center (LMC) on October 6th - 9th. Parents and students are invited to the library to shop for books that will interest all ages. Students will preview books with their classrooms on Tuesday, October 6th and create a Wish List. You may send cash or check made out to LAF PTO. A few additional items such as erasers and pencils will be available for purchase.

Proceeds from the Book Fair are used to keep the LMC books current and interesting for our community of young readers. Sign-up for short shifts at Volunteer Spot http://vols.pt/k8UhLU.

Halloween & Other Food Events

Just like the retail stores, we are already thinking about Halloween. Halloween is one of our first food events of the year. When you signed into the Parent Portal this year, you were able to indicate if you wanted to be informed of food events.

If you indicated that you wanted to be informed of food events, you will be receiving a food permission form from your child's teacher in the coming weeks. It is then the parent of the students with allergies responsibility to contact the room parents to learn about the menu for class party. Once you approve the foods that your child can eat, write down what you approved on the form, sign it and return it to school. Your child can not participate if your were provided a form and it is not returned.

This form can also be accessed by using this link: http://www.chatham-nj.org/cms/lib/NJ01000518/Centricity/Domain/385/LAF%20Food%20Permission%20Form%2014_15.pdf
