Did You Remember Your Newborn?
Traveling with a Newborn
Should I Bring my Newborn There?
Picking the Right Stroller
When your picking a stroller, there is many different options. You have to take into consideration where you live. If you live in the country, you might want a stroller that you can run with, or bring on long walks. If you live in the city, you might want a stroller that can collapse quickly so you can get on the subway or taxi and that moves easily around people.
What to Bring
You have to make sure you are prepared when you travel with a newborn. In a diaper bag, you should remember to pack: 1. Diapers for every hour you will be out 2. A bottle filled with formula or your choice of food for your newborn 3. Multiple blankets to keep your newborn warm 4. Extra clothing in case your newborns clothes get dirty 5. A comfort items for our newborn such as a pacifier or toy 6. An emergency kit in case something happens to our newborn Other than a diaper bag, you should make sure before your newborn is dressed in multiple layers before going out for warmth because they are not used to being cold.
The Right Car Seat
A car seat is extremely important, and you want to make sure you have the right one. Your newborn should be facing backwards until they are 1 year old. You have to check your newborns weight and height to make sure they fit properly in the car seat. You also want to read the information on the car seat to make sure you are buying a safe car seat for your newborn. If your newborn is born pre-mature, they have to pass a car seat test before leaving the hospital. Since their airways are smaller, they have to be tested to make sure that they can breathe in the semi- reclined position that car seats use.
