A lion is really fierce! A lion size is 5 feet - 8 feet. A lion weight is 264-550 lbs. That's huge! The color of a lion is gold. A lion has a short coat of brownish golden fur with a long tail. A lion is a mammal. Only male lions have manes which can range in color from brownish gold to reddish brown to black.
Habitat Information
I wouldn't want to live in the lion's habitat! The lion lives in Saharan Africa. Lions live in woodlands, scrub, and grasslands. The Saharan Africa is tropical, dry, and hot.
Preditor & Prey
A lion has a lot of enemies! A lion's enemies are buffalos, humans, and hyena packs. People are lions worst enemy! A lion use their sharp claws to protect itself. It also can run super fast too. A lion runs 45 miles per hour. Wow that's fast! A lion has a huge appetite! A lion eats antelope, warthog, and zebras! The lion finds it food in the Saharan Africa. A lion is a carnivore. That means meat eater.

I learned lots of interesting fasts about lions! Lions are called, "king of beasts" because they are thought to be like royalty. Also lion live in families called prides. There could be about 15 lions in each pride. In addition, lion can live from 8-15 years. They can live longer in a zoo .
