Craddock's Weekly Update

For the Weeks of March 20th and April 3rd, 2023

Mrs. Menta's Message

Happy Sunday Craddock Families!

I hope this last week was a good one for you and that your family is healthy! We have had quite a few bugs going around. Thank goodness the first day of spring is tomorrow! I hope the change of seasons brings some milder temperatures and more sunshine!

We are down to our final five days before Spring Break. This week includes gifted testing for our 2nd graders, a statewide tornado drill and a magic show assembly to end the week! Thank you to PTO for bringing this in! We are also VERY CLOSE to filling our school-wide pom pom bucket for the 7th time! We need another few jars dumped in there from the classrooms to make that happen! The kids are working so hard and we couldn't be more proud!

Thank you for the time you took to gain access to your child's Gather portal and send back the Gather form letting us know you did or didn't. It's been great data for us to determine what changes need to be made moving forward. Miller will begin using Gather soon, so we want to make sure our parents are comfortable with the portal and getting all they need from it.

We are in full swing with transition meetings as we begin to plan for the 23-24 school year. I am so excited to meet with the families of all our incoming 1st grade students on Monday, May 15th at 6:00 in the Craddock gym. I will also be sending out a Student Placement Parent Feedback form to gather input you may have regarding where your child is placed for the 23-24 school year. Your input is valued and important. That Google form link will come out after Spring Break! Be watching the Weekly Update!

Have a great week and safe travels to all our families who are taking off for Spring Break via car, train or plane! We look forward to seeing all of our 1st and 2nd grade friends back on Monday, April 3rd!

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments or feedback! The next Weekly Update will be out to prepare you for the week of April 10th!

Sincerely,

Kim Menta

Craddock Transportation Request 22-23

If at any time, you wish to change your child's mode of transportation for one or more days, you must fill out the Google form attached. We are no longer able to accept notes, phone calls and/or emails to do this, outside of emergencies. Thank you!

Click Here for Craddock's Lunch Menu

It is recommended you check this link often when making decisions about whether your child is buying lunch or not. The menu has been changing more often than we anticipated. Thank you!

Our Craddock students have begun earning Inchy gold coins for the book vending machine by themselves! It is so exciting!
