Mrs. Wilson's Language Arts Class

April 20-25

This Week

After Badger Testing in the beginning of the week for 6th grade, students were given time to work on their Graphic Novel Project. Other than Monday and Friday, students were given about an hour of class time (literally 60 minutes) to work on their projects. Due to Badger Testing, I couldn't give students computer time for this project, which is okay because the project did not require a computer. Some students chose to use some computer generated pictures. This project will be due Monday. Please check with your child on the progress of his or her project.

We didn't do an annotation article this week because of testing and the project. Next weeks article will be abut Anne Frank.

Reading Challenge/Skyward

Starting Monday, you will noticed a new "grade" in Skyward marking your child's Book Challenge points or pages. This category will be 0% of your child's grade and will be out of 0 points total. This means that whatever number is in the grade book doesn't have an effect on your child's grade. This is simply a communication tool for you and your child. Points will not go into the grade book until the student has filled out a survey and I have conferenced with them about their book.
