John Calvin
John Calvin was born in Noyon, France; on July 10, 1509. His father was Gerard Cauvin, an attorney of the cathedral chapter. While his mother was Jeanne Le Franc of Cambrai, a woman known for her beauty and rigidness. She eventually died while John was very young and his father remarried to a woman whom he had two other children with. Calvin was predicted to eventually become a priest. Then in 1523 he began his journey by attending the College de la Marche. Until resigning his position as chaplaincy on April 30, 1529. Imediatly following the death of his father on May 26, 1531, John fled for Paris where he planned to study Hebrew. It was made official in January of 1534, that Calvin was a wanderer. Jonh calvin eventually laid to rest in 1564.
