News From The View

Skyview Upper Elementary School

From Mrs. Berical

Dear Families,

Thank you to the families who came to Skyview on Thursday, January 26th to support our make up day from American Education Week. We believe in a strong home and school connection and we enjoy having you in the building to see first hand the learning that your child is engaged in throughout their day!

Our lost and found continues to grow with various winter coats, gloves, hats, sweatshirts and other items such as water bottles and lunch boxes. Please encourage your child to check the lost and found in the Skyview main lobby if they are missing any personal items.

On Thursday, February 2nd, Skyview will assist Punxsutawney Phil in predicting an early spring or 6 more weeks of winter with a spirit day! Encourage your child to either wear their coziest winter outfit or their favorite spring color based on their prediction!

On Monday, January 30th, Skyview students will switch to their new lunch location for the 3rd marking period. Be sure to ask your child where they are sitting for this quarter. In addition, this is also an excellent time to ask your child about the expectations that have been established in the cafeteria so that we can work together to provide a more enjoyable lunch experience for all.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Berical

Cafeteria

If your child is getting a school breakfast or lunch, it is important that they have their student ID ready to use when they go through the cafeteria line. Having the ID ready speeds up the process of moving through the line. Please remind your child to bring their ID to school each day and to have it easily accessible at breakfast and lunch.

In addition, please remind your child that appropriate behavior is expected in the cafeteria. Manners such as saying please and thank you, throwing trash away and cleaning their space after they are finished eating is expected. We greatly appreciate you discussing these expectations with your child so that we can work together to provide a more pleasurable dining experience.
