Maple Grove Respect Certificate Recipients

During the first month of school, Maple Grove students and teachers worked on showing respect to our friends and our school. Congratulations to all the students recognized for showing respect to their classmates and teachers. Way to go - Maple Grove!

Prinicipal's Message

As we enter the second half of October, it is time to start thinking about Parent-Teacher Conferences. This year Maple Grove is using an on-line program called Sign-Up Genius to facilitate parents' selecting conference times for their children. By using the grade level links in this newletter or on our website, you will be able to select conference times with your child's teacher and coordinate conferences if you have more than one Maple Grove student. Families without internet access can contact the office at 414-541-0600 to arrange for a conference time.

As well, this October 23, Harvest Fest returns to Maple Grove. From 6 - 8 PM, we open our school to an evening of costumed fun. There will be dancing, crafts and a candy hunt. Thanks to our STP Group for organizing this event. More information can be found later in the flyer. Please remember that, while costumes can be worn to Harvest Fest, no costumes should be worn to school.

Finally, our Lost & Found is full of new sweatshirts, jackets, hats, and mittens. Please consider putting your child's name in their sweatshirt or jacket. When we find a misplaced item with a name attached, we can easily return it to a student. Please check our Lost & Found, the next time you stop by school.

As always feel free to contact me with your questions or concerns,

Ken McCormick

Each "Box Top for Education" is worth $.10 for the school. Please have your children turn in eligible "Box Tops" to their teacher. We are having a competition that will end on Oct. 28th! The top class will earn a pizza party, 2nd place will earn a popsicle treat, and 3rd place will earn an extra recess!

Office Reminders

  • Please do not drop off your students prior to 8:30 a.m. There is no adult supervision prior to 8:30. Parent Drop off is in the back of the school, off of Bottsford. Buses drop off in the front of the school. If you arrive after 8:45 (school start time), then you will need to come in the front so your child can get a late pass. YMCA provides before and after school care if you need an earlier arrival than 8:30 or cannot pick up your child by 3:26 p.m. Stop by the office for a pamphlet, if you need one.
  • If you have not yet paid your child's school registration for the year, please do so as soon as possible. THANK YOU!
