Pledge to Read 12 Hours This Summer and Earn Prizes!
The goal is to read 12 hours during the summer (now until August 21st). Log your reading minutes online. Each time you have completed 4 hours of reading, visit the Pawtucket Library Children's Room to choose a prize from the Treasure Chest & receive a discount pass/coupon to a local attraction. You may report up to 3 times. The third and final time that you report is when you have reached the goal of 12 hours of reading! LAST DAY to report is August 21st. If you read an additional 12 hours, you will receive a second Finale Raffle Ticket. No additional tickets are given after 24 hours of reading. Reporting #1 = Treasure Chest prize, Explorer Card and Wendy’s Frosty coupon. Reporting #2=Treasure Chest prize and Rock Spot Climbing coupon. Reporting #3= Treasure Chest prize, Altitudes Trampoline Park coupon, certificate, completer bag, free book and a Finale Raffle ticket.
Pawtucket's Free Summer Meals For Kids

Pawtucket – With summer right around the corner, it's time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. The Pawtucket School Department provides free meals to children during the summer.
Meals will be served to the public to those children, 18 years of age or younger. No income requirements or pre-registration is required. For more information, contact Joshua Brochu at 401-305-6601.
Summer meals will be provided at the following sites on the listed days and times:
From July 1st through August 2nd, Monday through Friday from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. -12:00 p.m. No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th.

San Bento Playground
- June 24th - August 2nd Monday & Wednesday ONLY from 5:00-8:00 p.m. ** No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th. Weather permitting. **
Payne Park
- June 25th - July 13th. Tuesday & Thursday ONLY from 4:00-5:00 p.m. **Weather permitting**
Galego Court Housing Complex-
- June 24th - August 23rd, Monday through Friday from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and 12:00-1:00 p.m. **No meals will be served on July 4th and August 12th. **
Prospect Heights Housing Complex –

FREE FUN FRIDAYS 2019 WILL PROVIDE NO-COST ADMISSION FOR EVERYONE TO 100 MASSACHUSETTS CULTURAL VENUES THIS SUMMER

Free Fun Fridays 2019 will take place for 10 consecutive Fridays — beginning June 28 and continuing through August 30— with 100 venues welcoming visitors in a free-of-charge public celebration of culture and history that is unprecedented outside of the national museums in Washington, D.C.
