Writing Goal: Thinking Maps
Recently teachers asked students to write about a specific topic. They told them they would have a few minutes to organize their thoughts. We were curious to see how many students would use a Thinking Map without being told to.
We found that 19% of students used a Thinking Map when planning/brainstorming their writing. Our goal is to increase that percentage.
Ask your child about what they know about Thinking Maps. Talk about how you could use Thinking Maps at home. For example, maybe a chore chart could take the form of a Thinking Map!
Ask your child about the Fit for Fun form they received in PE.....see below for more info.
