Attendance Matters ALL DAY, EVERYDAY
TIP: Record your student’s absence on your calendar. Doing so will help you keep track of the days your child has missed from school. If you're not careful, those days can add up fast! Spring Break is almost here, and we're all excited to get some R&R. With that said, do your best not to extend break an extra day or two. It's tempting, but remember absences from school means missed instruction, assignments and homework that your child will have to catch up on later. Not sure how many days your child has missed so far this school year?? Click HERE to sign up for the parent portal and stay in the know about attendance, academics and more! Help Your Child Succeed in School: Build the Habit of Good Attendance! School success goes hand in hand with good attendance!
FCS Annual Parent Perception Survey
At Fulton County Schools, we truly value the feedback from our families about their experiences with the district. That is why I encourage you to take the Annual Parent Perception Survey. This survey allows parents/guardians the opportunity to tell us what they think about their student’s schools and the district. While we always make it a priority to listen to our parents, this survey affords us another opportunity to receive your thoughts and opinions.
The survey is anonymous and confidential. Please complete one survey per school where you have one or more students enrolled. The survey will remain open through Friday, March 10.
It’s not only parents we want to hear from. Our students’ opinions are important too! Students in grades 4-12 will be provided the opportunity to take the voluntary Annual Student Perception Survey between February 13th and 24th during the school day. In our ongoing efforts to remain transparent with parents, please feel free to review more details regarding the student and parent surveys by clicking here.
The survey is available in the following languages:
- English
- Spanish
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Korean
- Hindi

School Governance Council needs YOU!
The window for parents and teachers to declare candidacy for their school's School Governance Council opened on February 1. During this time, individuals interested in serving a 2-year term (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2025) will have the opportunity to complete a Candidate Declaration Form. The declaration window will remain open until March 24 with voting to take place in April.
School Governance Councils are an integral component of Fulton's charter system. School Governance Councils, or SGCs, are responsible for setting and monitoring the strategic direction of the schools.
The responsibilities of SGCs are as follows:
- Approve the school's Strategic Plan
- Approve the school's budget recommendations
- Manage the Request for Flexibility process
- Participate in the hiring process when hiring a new principal
- Provide feedback on the principal's performance
- Interface with the school's Title I committee (where applicable)
Last Call for Yearbook Portraits!

This will be the absolute final chance for students to have their photos taken, so please ensure that they dress appropriately and listen to announcements for their names to be called.
