December Delights
We did lots of holiday crafts to wrap up December! Some of these crafts included ripping cotton balls and gluing them onto stockings, marble painting bows and dreidels, decorating gingerbread men, and making sequined Christmas lights. We read Christmas books, matched letters onto lights, ordered trees by length, and practiced reindeer and bell patterns.
During P.E., we did an obstacle course and went "sledding" down the roller coaster, had a snowball fight, scooped snowballs, and threw beanbags to decorate the tree. In Friends Group, we played in our Christmas dramatic play area (wrapped gifts, hung ornaments, put objects in stockings). We enjoyed playing with boxes all week long! We built towers and tunnels, and then painted and decorated our boxes.
January
- The CDC theme for January is Our Neighborhood, where we will be talking all about community helpers
- We will also be doing some winter crafts (e.g., snow, mittens, hats, etc.)
