MISSED DAY PROCEDURE
Q: After a missed day due to inclement weather or other unplanned circumstance, what happens to the even/odd schedule?
A: Students return to whatever day (Odd or Even) is scheduled on the calendar for that date. Regardless if they miss one day or multiple days.
For example, if an even day was missed due to snow, the next day the students would return to school on an odd day because that is what is posted on the RCPS Odd/Even calendar.

Economics Education at Pence
Mrs. Dove's Civic's classes have been learning about the stock market and competed in the Fall Stock Market Game. The teams had a virtual account of $100,000 to invest in the stock market. Ms Glick helped the teams to research possible stocks and both teachers assisted the teams with the game. Our teams competed against middle and high school teams from across Virginia. We would like to recognize our school's top three teams in the Fall Game.
The 1st place team also was the first place team in our JMU region and 9th in the State. The OH NO OUR TABLES ITS BROKEN team earned $6,660 on their portfolio in a very difficult time for the market. Team members are Colton McDorman, Graham Myers, Blake McCain
Our 2nd place team finished 6th in the Region and earned $3,858 on their portfolio. The DUCKZILLAS team members are Ameer Hijjeh, Ali Abu Zahra, Sherlin Lopez-Rojas, Baban Othman
Our 3rd place team finished 7th in the Region and earned $3,549 on their portfolio. The SHAQUILLE OATMEAL team members are Braden Shields, Trenton Forbus, Brock Forbus, Garrett Jennings
Congratulations on your hard work teams!
