A Note from Ms. McNeill and Mrs. Myers

Dear Copper Creek Families,

And the winner is . . . "Monarch Kingdom"!!!

Students anxiously awaited for our winning butterfly garden name to be announced during Monday morning announcements. The top four names voted on were Butterfly Learning Land, Monarch Kingdom, The Secret Garden, and Butterfly Creek.

Naming our beautiful garden was not only fun for our bobcats, but was also a learning lesson on monarch waystations and the important role they play in the great annual monarch migration.

Please visit the Desert Botanical Garden links below to learn more about monarch waystations and much needed milkweed plants.

Our Veterans Day celebration was a joyous event. Students and staff enjoyed a presentation by the Sandra Day O'Connor High School Air Force Junior ROTC Color Guard. We also had wonderful performances from our very own CC Band, led by Mrs. Dragomir, and CC Choir led by Mr. Ambrose.

Students also enjoyed walking through the atrium to view our Veterans Day Photo Wall project assembled by Mrs. Sowers and Mrs. Grace. Please enjoy the photos below which were submitted by our military families. Thank you for your great service!

As always, we encourage all our parents to follow the DVUSD safety plan for Covid-19. We continue to have in-person school because of parent support. Thank you!

Stay Safe & Go Bobcats!
