Giovanni Pierlugi da Palestrina
Why Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina is worthy of study?(open ended)
Giovanni Pierlugi da Palestrina is worthy of study because he composed a lot of choir pieces. According to http://www.bach-cantatas.com/Lib/Palestrina.htm it says not only he composed for choir but also was an organist at a church. Also 1551he became maestro di cappella at the Cappella Giulia. He also was one of the first composers from Rome. I believe that he was a very important composer because he wrote many compositions. I also believe that he was worthy of study because he made a lot of choir pieces that are very important today.
This portrait is of Giovanni.
I think this is Palestrina looking over his music.
