Message from the Principal

One of our school improvement goals this year is to improve communication and collaboration between students, parents, and our community. PowerSchool has provided a means for students and parents to stay current with academic grades and attendance. Homer High also has a web page - http://homerhighschool.blogs.kpbsd.k12.ak.us/wpmu/

However, some parents have asked that we provide a traditional newsletter format to highlight our students and increase communication. Hopefully this newsletter will accomplish this request. However, we would like your input. What do you want to know about? What would you like included in our newsletter? Let us know your thoughts as we focus on improved communication - dgee@kpbsd.k12.ak.us

Feast or Famine Supports Food Pantry

On November 14 during FOL, students will participate in a Feast or Famine fundraiser to help support our local food pantry. Students will pay $3.00 to draw a ticket to either feast on some fantastic food created by the HHS Culinary Arts students or receive a ticket for a small ration of rice. It is a fun way for students to show their support for families in need within our community.
