Happy New Year!!

It's hard to believe we are in the second half of the school year already! Although it is February, I certainly do not feel that it is winter with this beautiful weather we have been having the past few days! If you are like me, I say, "Buh-bye Winter! Bring on Springtime and warmer weather!" And apparently, Punxsutawney Phil in PA and Gen. Beauregard Lee in GA agree with me as they have both predicted an early Spring! Let's hope their predictions come true!

Let's Celebrate Black History Month!

We will be celebrating Black History Month during the month of February. Students are encouraged to submit writing pieces on a prominent figure in Black History. The submissions will be displayed all around the school for all to enjoy. For each grade level and Connections, the class with the highest participation will receive a cupcake party! Also, five lucky participants will receive a $5 gift certificate to use in the upcoming Book Fair. See Mrs. Freeman or Mrs. Lansanah for further details and templates to use.
