All about Islam
Followers of Islam are called Muslims. The God of their beliefs is Allah and their common figure is Abraham. They have prayers every day to their God and the Prophet of Muhammad. Muslims believe in the 5 pillars if Islam which explains how to live life to the fullest. Their sacraments and traditions are the practices that they carry, praying every day to Allah, facing Mecca. The place of worship is a Mosque. The mosque has a dome on the top and and it is surrounded by 5 pillars, each representing the pillars of Islam. The Holy Book of Islam is the Qu'ran. The Qu'ran is the central religious text of Islam, which Muslims believe to be a revelation from god. The first copy of this was written in 650 AD. There are some Holy days in this religion, such as Eid-Al-Fitr and Ramadan. Ramadan is a fasting holy month, which is part of the 5 pillars of Islam. Eid-Al-Fitr, also known as Hari Raya Puasa is the breaking of the fasting with a grand feast, started of with date fruits. The Holy City for Islam is Mecca, and Jerusalem. Mecca is located in the heart of Saudi Arabia, and Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.
