Team Hill Update
DFES Title One, Feb. 11, 2016
What's new in our classroom!
This week we've been busy learning and growing in many ways! As readers, we are engaged in reading Frindle, by Andrew Clements as well as learning about each other's reading interests by sharing the Canned Book Projects with each other. We have begun adding and subtracting fractions this week and will soon be adding and subtracting mixed numbers. We dove back into American history this week by looking at what our country was like right after the Revolutionary War. After some discussion, we realized why our country needed some guidelines as well as a leader when our nation was just beginning. This will lead us into our unit on government!
We will be exchanging valentines this Friday, Feb. 12. We will decorate Valentine's Day bags in class as well as enjoy a snack while opening valentines Friday!
At the Koger Center
We are super excited to play our recorders with the orchestra!
Out on the town
It was a brisk day outside, but warm and happy inside the Koger Center!
Ready for Ryans!
I think everyone enjoyed the meal at Ryan's following the concert!
