Girls Basketball Remains Undefeated
Coach Tonya Hunter's Girls Basketball team won three games in the last week and is now 6-0 on the season. Last Tuesday, the Huskies beat Mortimer Jordan 57-42. The Huskies outscored the Blue Devils 19-7 in the final quarter. Amiya Payne scored 19 points, April Hools scored 13 points, and Amir Brown added 10 points.
On Friday night, the Huskies cruised past Wenonah 72-14. Amiya Payne scored 28 points and grabbed her 500th career rebound. April Hooks scored 11 points and Londyn Johnson-Yates added 10 points.
On Saturday, the Huskies beat Opelika 57-34. Amiya Payne scored 23 points and April Hooks added 10 points. Jordan Hunter had six points and 10 rebounds.
The Girls' game vs Hoover scheduled for November 24 has been postponed until January 2. Select the link below for the updated schedule.

Boys Basketball Wins Two in a Row
Hewitt-Trussville Boys Basketball has now won two games in a row. Last Thursday, the Huskies traveled to Moody and used a big second half performance to claim a 66-57 win. Emeka Anwah led the team in scoring with 16 points. Tyler Pickett scored 15 points and Brelyn Turner added 12 points.
On Saturday, the Huskies hit clutch free throws down to stretch to notch a 60-54 win over Opelika. Ray Rolley led the team with 15 points and Tyler Pickett added 12 points.
The Huskies will host Oak Mountain on December 1. Tickets for all home games are available on the following site.

Boys Bowling Still Unbeaten
HT Boys Bowling is now 4-0 overall on the season and 3-0 in 6A-7A Region 7 play. Last week the Huskies beat Southside-Gadsden 1372-1277. David Davis led the Huskies with a score of 221. Hunter Kyle bowled a 190.
The HT Girls are now 2-1 overall on the season and 1-1 in 6A-7A Region 7 play. Both HT teams will travel to Gardendale Tuesday for a match.
HT Wrestling Goes Unbeaten at HnH Duals
Hewitt-Trussville Wrestling traveled to Moody on November 20 for the HnH Duals event. The Huskies went a perfect 3-0 on the evening. Select the link below for full match recaps.
HT will host the Patrick Aaron Memorial Thanksgiving Pools on November 25. Action will begin at 9am. Tickets are available at the link below.
HTHS Cheer Books Ticket to Nationals
HTHS Cheer finished 4th in the Traditional category and 2nd in the Gameday category at their competition Saturday. The Huskies received a bid to Nationals in both divisions. Congratulations to all athletes and coaches!
Baseball Evaluations Begin November 30
Evaluations for the 2021 High School Baseball season will begin on Monday November 30. Anyone with questions about evaluations can contact Head Coach Jeff Mauldin at jeff.mauldin@trussvillecityschools.com.
HTMS Cheer Wins Competition
Hewitt-Trussville MS Cheer improved five points from its first competition and took home first place honors over the weekend. Congratulations to all athletes and coaches!
