Dear Penn Village,

You have reached week seven of distance learning! Only 6 more school days left in the 2019-20 school year! (Whew!) You have zoomed, you have learned new apps, you have helped your students with their school work, you have parented through the emotional challenges associated with a global pandemic, worked from home while trying to manage your student's distance learning and all the while maintaining some sort of schedule that distinguishes Monday from Thursday from Sunday and hopefully some sanity. Maybe? Ha!

I want to acknowledge all of the hard work you have put in to support your students through this unprecedented time. Many parents have voiced concern that their students may have fallen behind academically in this last trimester of distancing learning. I promise you: our staff will meet your students exactly where they are when we return for the 2020-21 school year and we will work together to get everybody right back on track.

Whether we are physically together, socially distanced, or connected through technology, Team Penn is committed to academic excellence, social-emotional support and care for our students. Thank you for your continued partnership during this unusual time and thank you for your trust, patience, and care. We certainly could not do this without you.

From my heart to yours,

Mrs. Fadeji

A letter from Mrs. Ransom:

Dear Penngrove Community,

Thank you for 23 wonderful years at Penngrove School! What fun it has been! I feel thankful to have been there to see the transformation of the "old building" to an amazing place where learning is constant, and students are joyful! Seeing the changes in our playground, campus environment, and the move to being a wonderful charter school are memories I will always treasure. The teaching staff is near and dear to my heart, and I will miss my weekly interactions with them for sure! I have been blessed to have supported our students year after year and I am thankful for the time spent at this wonderful school and the growth and progress that all of my students have made as life-long learners. As I move forward to work with the students at Petaluma High next year, I know that I will have the chance to cross paths with many of you again someday. I look forward to that experience! Thank you to the staff and students at Penngrove, I will miss you all.

Love,

Mrs. Ransom

Welcome back Mrs. Sposato!

My dearest PennVillage,

I am beyond excited to be back with the Panthers! I can still remember literally jumping with joy when I was hired to work at Penngrove back in 2012. That feeling was the same when I found out I would be back with TeamPenn. Since 2012, I have taught both 2nd and 3rd grades, gotten married, had two kids, became a stay at home mom and now returning to teach 3rd grade!

Here are some fun facts about me that I love bringing into the classroom.

  • I grew up in a small northern California town with a population of 500 and a high school graduating class of 43!
  • I have traveled to 5 states and 15 countries all around the world.
  • I have a not-so-secret love of Hello Kitty & all things that sparkle, and I am learning to love all things Nascar & Seahawks thanks to my husband.

Penngrove has been with me through my happiest moments and my saddest days and I have missed seeing all the smiling faces of students, staff, and families everyday. Penngrove really is my happy place and I am so excited to be back home.

Now for a total bummer...

Yearbooks are delayed. We know that many of you have been looking forward to receiving your treasured Yearbook, but, unfortunately, there has been some struggle with production and shipping. The company is doing the best that they can to get them out to us as soon as possible, but it may be late June before they do. We will post updates when we know more!

This position is imperative to making meetings run smoothly and the required time outside of meetings is minimal, unless, of course extra volunteer time is desired. There are typically 8 association meetings and 10 board meetings throughout the school year. The CA PTA job description is located here for review.
