We're Coming Back SOON!
So, what does this mean for us at Wenatchee High School?!
It means we're coming back soon! Although we may be the last group that returns, we have renewed confidence and hope that we will be returning to at least a hybrid model of in-person and online learning some time this school year!
You're doing an awesome job of sticking it out together! We're going to make it! We will NEVER give up!
Fall Conferences
Students do not have class these days.
We will be following a format very similar to last Spring. Teachers will be calling parents/guardians during the listed hours to hold a teleconference.
We have made a couple of changes to the process:
1. Starting next week, teachers will be reaching out to select families to make appointment times for conferences during October 28 & 29.
2. Parents can use this form, which can also be found on under the "Latest News" section of the WHS website, to request a specific time for a conference with a specific teacher.
If you have specific concerns or questions for any of your student's teachers, specifically, please use this form to reach out, so we can prioritize scheduling your conference with that specific teacher during a time that works best for you.
3. Teachers will reach out to any remaining students in between calls to these specifically scheduled meetings.
We will use phone calls and Google Meet to hold all conferences.
If you have questions, please contact the Main Office: 509-663-8117.

AP Exam Information
AP Exam Registration Deadline for students is October 30, 2020 (for May exams).
Students need to complete 2 items to completely register to take an exam:
~ In student's MyAP account they need to enroll in the AP Classroom for the course and indicate "Yes" to taking the exam. (See number 3 for instructions. They also need to do this to access AP Classroom materials and resources.)
~ Pay for Exam:
- Call the ASB Office and pay over the phone: 509-663-8117 ext. 39853
- Come to the Athletics Entrance and knock on the door or call the number above to pay in-person
- Use this link to pay online.
AP Exam Fees and Waiver of Fees (this year only) for not taking the exam.
Exam Fees for 2020-21 increased $1 to $95 per exam paid by October 30 deadline.
~ For seniors, GEAR UP will again generously pay for 1 exam for each senior.
~ For students eligible for free/reduced lunch, I am awaiting word to confirm that a full state subsidy will apply again this year. If not free, there will be discounted fees. I'll post this when I know.
After October 30, students can still register and pay $95 and a $40 late registration fee up until March 5.
This year only, the $40 fee if students register and don't take the exam is waived. The implications of this are huge! If students aren't sure yet and register and pay to take the exam by the October deadline, there will not be the usual additional fee if they later decide not to take the exam. If students wait to decide and register after October, there will be a $40 late fee.
PSAT/NMSQT UPDATE
This year, we will be delaying PSAT/NMSQT for the 2020 school year. In an effort to attempt to host the assessment in-person, we have partnered with the College Board to administer the assessment on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Scholarship programs, including the National Merit Scholarship Program use these score to look for eligible students.
The above videos show you how to use the mobile app to access Canvas for Parents. If you need to access and create your account from a computer, please use here. Then click Need a Canvas Account toward the top right of the screen. Follow the instructions in the video from this point.
If you need assistance or your student is having trouble accessing their "Observer Code" please contact the Main Office at 509-663-8117.
