Principal Ponderings: One Word-Health
"Celebrate we will
Because life is short but sweet for certain"
It's true, life is short, but sweet. In an effort to prolong and sweeten my life in 2020 I'm going to have my One Word be Health: physical, emotional, and mental. Physically, I'm always cognizant of what the scale says and when the first number is a 2 and it isn't followed by a 0, it's solid information that I'm not being kind to myself (or maybe too kind but not in a healthy way). Emotionally, oh geez, how can we not ride the emotional roller coaster when we are invested in the lives of so many other humans. Mentally, I can tell when I begin to get bogged down in the day to day. Over break I had the opportunity to get outside for some trail walking and read a great deal. Both are crucial for bringing me back to center. By intentionally focusing on my health in these three categories as opposed to a resolution, I anticipate a sweeter 2020.
What might you choose as your one word? I placed Jon Gordon's book, One Word, on the bookshelf in the lounge if you are interested.

The article really gets into answering questions 3 and 4. What happens if they don't know what we want them to know and what happens if they do? This is where the how comes in.
