BrightBytes Survey Begins Monday, December 3rd!
The annual BrightBytes technology survey begins Monday, December 3rd and closes Wednesday, December 19th. The BrightBytes Clarity survey combines input from teachers, students, administrators, and parents to understand the environmental factors, skills, access levels and classroom factors that shape the impact of technology in our district. It usually only takes about 20 minutes for a participant to complete the survey. Only students in grades 3-12 will complete the survey. All instructional staff (classroom teachers, librarians, and campus administrators) are also asked to take the survey. We appreciate your support and assistance with this project.
Campus administration will determine how and when students will complete the survey. Please be on the look out for more information on Monday, December 3rd.
Emails from Apple
Some of you may have received an email from Apple saying your MacBook Pro may have an issue that could result in data loss and failure of the drive. We've determined that this message from Apple is legitimate. It most likely was sent to you because you may have signed in to your Apple ID (with your LEISD email address) on your Macbook.
Please don't go through the Service Process outlined on the website on your own. The Technology Department is going to work on a process for the Technicians to manage this situation for our fleet of effected devices. For now we are going to address individual problems as they arise. If you feel that your computer's performance is being negatively impacted by this issue, please submit a HelpDesk ticket through ZenDesk so a Technician can take a look at your machine and determine what action should be taken.

Starting December 8, course cards can be manually ordered in the Card View Dashboard. You can select the Options menu for a course and move the card to another location in the Dashboard. Depending on the placement of the existing card, cards may be moved to the top of the Dashboard, ahead or behind a specific card, or to the bottom of the Dashboard. Cards can also be manually dragged and dropped to another location in the Dashboard. Once a dashboard card has been reordered, new courses added to the dashboard always display at the end of all existing courses.
