Agriculture Adjustment Act (AAA)
What is Agriculture Adjustment Act (AAA)
Agriculture Adjustment Act reduced agriculture production by paying farmers to not plant on parts of their land and to get rid of excess livestock.
This cartoon explains how the AAA is constitutional and unconstitutional.
It explains what the AAA does
It's purpose is to reduce crop surplus and effectively raise the value of crops.
Pros of the AAA
It would control supply and command of the agriculture industry by removing excess crops and storing them to drive up the price.
Cons of the AAA
Didn't really help with depression, but instead left the nation in dept, and leaving people more dependent on government.
