Last Day of School Tuesday, June 11th 12:35 p.m. Dismissal
Dear Parents,
I can't believe this is one of our last bulletin update of the year! We certainly have had a very full year of learning, special recognition's and wonderful events!
I want to thank all of you for a fantastic year. My hope is that everyone has a great summer and returns to school energized and ready for another successful academic year. Please rest, recharge and come back ready to learn, contribute and have fun.
Summer Fun!! Be prepared so you can avoid your child expressing that he or she is “bored”. Summer is a great time to get lost in a book and keep the “I’m bored” monster away. Experts agree that children who read during the summer months keep their reading skills sharp and are better prepared for the challenges of the next grade level. Here is a good app for students to use for summer reading. https://www.getepic.com/.
Students should also finish their current ST Math Grade level. ST Math will supplement the skills needed when they move on to their next grade level and it reviews what they already know. Your student will have access to the program during the summer, if they log on for 20 minutes a day, they will finish it by the time we return from school.
Gator Olympics, Monday, June 10th (Grades K-4)
The Gator Olympics is tomorrow! To be prepared for this event, we would like to remind you of a few things:
Be Prepared
...to be outside! Please make sure to put on sunblock, wear a hat if you can, and bring a full water bottle with your name on it.
...to be active! This is a field day event with lots of activities! You will be running, throwing, hopping, jumping, kicking! Wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move in and wear closed-toed shoes (no flip-flops!), just like when you are at PE.
...to get a little wet! A few of the stations involve some water. You shouldn't need a towel or change of clothes, but you may get a bit splashed here and there.
...to have fun! Eat a full, healthy breakfast so you have plenty of energy. You may want to bring a snack as well!
Thank you to all the parents who are generously volunteering their time to help make this event a possibility. Thank you as well to our awesome Navy volunteers! If you are signed up to volunteer for this event, please arrive about 10 minutes before the event to check in at the Volunteer Table, which will be located right outside the library.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Alicia Fairbanks at
