Operations
Team,
Please see the update below regarding the district’s revised rental car policy.
After revisiting the policy, the district has provided clarity regarding the following concerns. The district is not responsible for additional passengers. The only person covered and that should be in the vehicle is the employee. In addition, intermediate is the only class size that is available for business/ school related rental reservations. Lastly, LAVCA staff are still eligible to drive their personal vehicle and request mileage reimbursement when applicable. The district revised rental car policy is optional; however, staff are still welcomed to use the discount rental code for leisure rentals.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Best Regards,
Kristy Davis

You can find the decks to our orientations here.
We are calling all of the new students. We are working hard to answer their questions and to get them started strong. Please remember, they will have a lot of questions as they get started. We are having Live Help sessions each day. They should see those sessions on their schedule. Please refer the students/LCs to those sessions, so we can help them as needed.
Please be aware of the start dates for new students. We have been working hard to get some start dates/course start dates corrected.
We will begin working with referral students next week. Please look for a new list of students we are working with this semester Monday morning on the FAST Referral Smore. Each FASL will have 2 catch-up classes each week, as well as individual meetings with students.
We will begin our FAST/Teacher Collaboration time again on Wednesday mornings at 8:30. Please join us to discuss plans of action for students for whom you are concerned.
Here is a copy of our latest Strong Start metrics.
