Maverick Minutes
Week of 11/26-30
That's a Wrap for November!
As you continue to have your data dives, please continue to make time to get out to the classrooms. We want you to continue to see who you want to see and note good teaching practices. As we leave for the break, we will do some PD to shift your attention to specific observations. Step out of your comfort level, visit other grade levels and departments...it should be a great experience.
Have a great week!

Those Displaced by Wildfires in LA. What Can We Do to Help?
People are asking what they can do for the school families, teachers, educators and students affected by the #campfire this Thanksgiving. As you sit around the Thanksgiving table say a prayer or a toast to the 5000+ students and 500+educators who lost their home and/or are displaced.
Next week we will prepare staff and facilities to get our children back to school on December 3. We can’t wait to see the kids at school again!
So...How about writing a letter to Butte Schools Strong. Preschool to High School children and teachers. Throw in a drawing and/or take a picture for us. Let us know where you are from and send a positive message. We will post them up at our new Butte Schools WALL to share with the community here and on line!
If you’d like to also donate please go to this website and under recognition name write your family name/Butte Schools Strong:

You can also send gift cards with your letter and picture to: Butte County Office of Education 1859 Bird St., Oroville, CA 95965

I and our school leaders will make sure the funds go to schools to rebuild the Visual and Performing Arts, Technology, Ag Ed, Sports, Academics and everything Preschool to 12th grade.
Happy Thanksgiving. We all feel your love!
