A Message from Mr. Lysowski

North Lake Family,

As we look ahead to the last week of the 2020-2021 school year, I would like to thank the entire North Lake family for an extraordinary school year. I am excited and optimistic about the future of our program and the opportunities that the 2021-2022 school year (and beyond) will bring us. This week, we have early release on Tuesday through Friday. We are encouraging students to attend field day and the awards ceremony in person to build camaraderie and to celebrate with their peers.

Parents and guardians, this is a friendly reminder that you can view your student's grades or schedule at any time by logging on to PowerSchool. If you have a question about your student's dual credit grades, parents can have their student access their grades on eCampus or feel free to reach out to Dr. Baker or their dual credit facilitator.

Thank you for your continued support!

Respectfully,

Mr. Lysowski

Early Release Schedule

Dallas ISD announced this week that we will be using an early release bell schedule on the following dates: June 15, 16, 17, 18. Since students will not be taking DISD ACPs this semester, we have decided to use these dates to help build community amongst our staff and students through Field Days and Awards Ceremonies for both 9th and 10th grade. We encourage students to attend in-person on their assigned days! Dallas ISD transportation will be picking students up on early dismissal days a

Dallas ISD mask protocol update following Gov. Abbott May 18 announcement

Gov. Greg Abbott on May 18 announced that public schools and district facilities cannot require masks starting June 5. Until that time, Dallas ISD will continue requiring masks be worn at schools and district facilities. After June 5, everyone is highly encouraged to continue wearing masks inside schools, on buses, and all district facilities, as an added measure of safety for all.

Dallas ISD remains committed to continue following social distancing and sanitation protocols and will make every effort to offer services like student and staff vaccinations, as resources become available. We will continue studying best practices in the coming weeks and will share updates with our students, staff and families.

Return to Face-to-Face Learning

Dallas ISD and Dallas College will be welcoming all students back to school for face-to-face learning beginning in August 2021. Students will be expected to attend school in-person and a hybrid option will not be available for North Lake students. For more information regarding Dallas ISD and Dallas College's decision to return to face-to-face instruction, please visits the websites below.

Dress Code for the 2021-2022 School Year

Due to COVID-19 and our hybrid learning model, the ECHS uniform day was never enforced. Beginning on the first day of school (August 16, 2021), all students will be expected to adhere to the the North Lake Early College dress code and uniform policy. Wednesday will be "uniform day" On Uniform Wednesdays, students are required to wear their ECHS uniform and either black slacks or a skirt (no shorter than “finger-tip length” with arms in normal position, i.e., arms hanging naturally, as student is standing straight and upright). North Lake ECHS Uniform appointments can be made by contacting Mr. Sergio Godinez at Versa Printing.

Students will be required to follow the North Lake Dress Code on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please see the image below which outlines the do's and don'ts.
