Dear Abby, I have this friend that is making some poor choices reguarding friends and activities outside of school. I really like her as a person and I want to continue to be their friend but I do not agree with what they are doing. What do you suggest that I do? Signed, Don't want to lose my friend
Dear I don't want to lose my friend,
I think you should first let her know how you feel about what she is doing. Let her know that you really care about her and the choices she is making. Then explain to her that peer pressure is not always good, and that there is bad peer pressure as well. Have her to understand that the poor choices she is continuing to make can effect her future. She can change if you just have a little patience and show her compassion.

I would like to introduce you to Mrs. Fuller-Williams. She has been a teacher for 16 years. She attended Alcorn State University. Her most memorable or embarrissing teaching moment was when she was in Florida and she had a group of students who only spoke spanish. She waited on a response to a question she had asked, all the students looked at her crazy. Her favorite thing about Hazlehurst Middle school is her students.
