IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR ALL FAMILIES

Our traditional Lindenwold school uniform policy WILL be in effect for the 22 – 23 school year. We are returning to all “usual” protocols for the 22 – 23 school year: changing for gym (LMS & LHS), student locker assignments for grades 7 – 12, and UNIFORMS (PK-12).


ALL students will be required to wear school uniforms as outlined in our District Policy. (Please review the policies below in English and Spanish.) You can find these items in a variety of stores such as: Forman Mills, Target, Walmart, Kohls, etc. You choose where you wish to obtain school uniform items.


However, NO sweaters or sweatshirts other than those outlined in the policy below or those included in THE DISTRICT SPONSORED UNIFORM POP-UP STORE will be permitted in school.


Items sold as part of athletic / activity "spirit wear" fundraisers

are not considered part of the board approved uniform.


These items can only be worn on Principal approved

"school spirit" days.


Students not in uniform will be required to change their dress into an approved uniform in order to remain in school for the day. If parents are not able to immediately come to the school to drop off uniform items for their child to change into, students will be required to change into uniform items which they may borrow from our Lion's Share.

At this time, the Pop-Up Store link will be posted and emailed out to all families on or before 8/15/22. It will include OPTIONAL items for LMS and LHS students ONLY.

Long sleeve Collared Shirt - Polo OPTION for LMS and LHS

Crew neck sweatshirt OPTION for LMS and LHS

The most expensive item in the Pop-Up Store will be the hoodie sweatshirt which will range from $21.50 to $24.50 for the larger sizes. The gym t-shirt will be the cheapest item priced at $6.00.


These items are NOT required. They are OPTIONAL items which may be purchased in lieu of the clothing "tops" outlined in the district policy.


The Pop-Up Store link will be emailed to all LMS and LHS parents on or before 8/15/22.


The Pop-Up Store will be open on 8/15/22 through 9/23/22.

Elementary School Options will be available in the winter.

Elementary Pop-Up Items are NOT available at this time.

COMMUNITY & INCLUSION COORDINATOR

Many of you may recognize our new Community and Inclusion Coordinator - Mrs. Amber Callow. She is beginning her 10th year at Lindenwold Public Schools and her 14th year as an educator. Mrs. Callow started her career in special education and has spent the last nine years of her career as the school counselor at School Five.


Her passions within education include trauma-informed care, student advocacy, and establishing positive classroom climates and relationships. She is beyond excited to continue serving the students and community of Lindenwold within the administrative team. In addition to her Master’s Degree in counseling and her Supervisor Certification, she is currently working towards her Principal Certification and her Director of School Counseling Certification through the NJ Excel Program.


Mrs. Callow has been married to a fellow Lindenwold educator since 2012. Her husband, Bryan, teaches Physics and Computer Science for Lindenwold HIgh School and has been in the district even longer than she has! For the past 10 months they have had the wonderful opportunity to foster two beautiful young girls in their home and continue to love their first born - a 13 year old rescue dog named Olive.


As the Community and Inclusion Coordinator, Mrs. Callow will focus on embracing the "community school" philosphy by leading school & community coordinated efforts that benefit our students and families. In addition, her work will focus on understanding, embracing, and respecting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives for all of our stakeholders: students, staff, and community members.

LMS MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

Mr. Danny McEaddy is honored to serve as the newly appointed Principal at Lindenwold Middle School. Mr. McEaddy is a servant leader who has served as an elementary and middle school math teacher, K-8 assistant principal, and previously a principal in PA and NJ. His educational experiences have allowed him to collaborate with diverse groups to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement.


Mr. McEaddy is a New Jersey native who attended William Paterson University, Cambridge College, MA and is currently a doctoral candidate at Drexel University, PA.


Outside of school, Mr. McEaddy enjoys spending time with his wife (Jennifer), four children (Leah, DJ, Kobe, and Kameron), and their rescue dog (Riley). He loves to work out, read books, attend sporting events, and travel with his family.


Mr. McEaddy is excited to meet the families of LMS and is committed to leading our school in a positive direction. Let's all get ready to show him our Lion's Pride!!!

LHS INTERIM PRINCIPAL

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Scott McCartney will be serving as Interim High School Principal for the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. Dr. McCartney has served public education with distinction in New Jersey over the last 3 plus decades. He has been a teacher, athletic coach, technical coordinator, building administrator, central office administrator, school superintendent and now serves as an administrative interim and mentor in our state.


In addition to serving schools directly, Dr. McCartney has also served in leadership roles with the New Jersey Association of School Administrators and the American Association of School Administrators. He has been recognized as a County and Regional Superintendent of the Year, has received both National Blue and Green Ribbon Awards, as well as other local and state accolades in his career.


Dr. McCartney shared with me that throughout his entire career, in each role, his focus has been on the student, and he is excited to interact with our students at the High School, along with our staff and the community. Dr. McCartney is an accomplished leader that will support our district goals and help to make our High School a great place for all to learn and be a part of a robust, respectful, and safe school community.

The District does not have a required school supply list for students. The District will provide students with all necessary school supplies such as: folders, crayons, pencils, etc.


Students may wish to purchase backpacks and lunch boxes. The District also receives donations of backpacks, too, which may be shared with students. If you are in need a bookbag for your child, please contact your child’s school. We are happy to assist you.

The District has appointed a new District Safety Specialist, Ms. Adrienne McManis, our Director of Special Services. Over the summer, she attended a week-long safety training for the second time in her career, completed required FEMA courses, and she is now certified as a 2022 – 2023 School District Safety Specialist. As such, there will be additional safety and security measures implemented in every school this year.


One measure will include the requirement that ALL students, staff, approved guests, and substitutes will be required to wear a school issued ID each day.


Middle and high school students will receive a temporary ID on the first day of school in homeroom. Permanent IDs will be provided following school picture days, which will occur later in the fall.


Elementary Students will be mailed a name tag in their “Welcome Back to School” informational mailing in late August. Students will then receive their permanent ID tag that will be connected to their book bag on the first day of school. Please leave this tag connected to your child’s bookbag for the entire year, as it will assist in the dismissal process each day.


ALL students will be required to wear their IDs starting on day 1 of school, September, 8th. This visual identifier will help school staff quickly know who has been approved to be inside our schools as well as on our school property. Bus drivers will also require these IDs to properly identify students on their bus.
