The Scholarship Foundation SUMMER MELT
The Scholarship Foundation is excited to share that Student Advisors will be available throughout the summer for drop-in advising at St. Louis Public Library and St. Louis County Library locations across the region. These drop-in hours are intended to help students finalize their college enrollment plans for the 2022-23 school year and prevent the phenomenon known as summer melt, which is when college-intending students do not arrive on campus in the fall as planned. Financial matters often derail students and Student Advisors are here to help.
Students can receive help with any of the following:
- Filing or correcting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA);
- Completing financial aid verification paperwork;
- Reviewing or comparing financial aid offers; or,
- Discussing affordability and options to cover any financial gaps.
Every advising drop-in occurs at the same time each library branch is offering free summer meals through Operation Food Search.
