Superintendent Briefing
Reflections of August and Expectations of September 2020
A Note from Dr. Hanson, Superintendent
Hello NPPS Families,
Welcome Back!
It is with great excitement that we welcome our students, staff, and families back to NPPS this fall. We know sending your students back in the face of a global pandemic was not an easy decision for some of you, and we are not taking your decision lightly. As many of you are aware, we have increased our health and safety measures across this district. These measures include the implementation of our district plan and school playbooks that have been developed with the guidance of federal, state, and local health and education officials. I can proudly say that we have seen our students, staff, and many families embrace these changes with enthusiasm and zeal.
Keeping our schools open is one of our top goals, and we ask that each of you continue to help us by wearing face-covering, practicing social distancing, and staying diligent with good hygiene and hand sanitation.
As always, we invite you to visit our COVID-19 Resources page under the students & parents tab of our website at nppsd.org.
On our website, you will find; Our Plan, Playbooks, and Resources about COVID-19 and how we plan to move forward.
Again, Welcome Back and Best Regards,
Dr. Ron Hanson, Superintendent

Kids Klub
Welcome back Kids Klub staff and students!
Thank you all for your kindness as we made over 500 calls to families this past week.
It was great to speak to each of you.
We shared happy tears with some of you, and everyone was so understanding when it came to our new procedures; if your child was placed on our waitlist, no one was rude or angry. We appreciate that more than you will ever know.
This is why we love our NPPS families. You’re all so gracious and kind. We are blessed to have you.
We are full in each of our sites, and we can’t wait to see everyone on 8/31.
A reminder that Mega Days are still on hold for the time being. We will communicate if that changes.
If you have any questions, please call 308-696-3361.
Additionally, I would like to thank the Community of North Platte for choosing me as the July Community Hero. Thank you to the area businesses who donated the gift cards I received. What an honor. I am truly, truly, blessed to do this work.
Thank you again for your continued support of Kids Klub.
