Movie and Book Reviews
Have you read any good books lately? Have you seen any good movies recently? The students in Mrs. Junod second grade class definitely have! On Tuesday, November 10, a majority of Mrs. Junod's students were able to meet up for a fun night at the Neshaminy movie theater to see, “The Peanuts Movie”. As a follow-up, the class wrote some fantastic movie and book reviews which are hanging in the hall outside C4. Wondering if you should go see the movie, or read a new book? Check out some of their opinions below:
" I just went to see the movie, 'The Peanuts Movie'. I liked it very much. I would give it 8 stars. My favorite character was Snoopy. I thought he was funny when he went to the party. He was cool. Charlie Brown learned to be honest. My favorite part was when Charlie Brown's book report got shredded. I would recommend you to see it." ~ Liam
"I just read the book entitled, 'Should I Share My Ice Cream?'. I liked it very much. I would give it 8 stars. My favorite character was the elephant because he liked ice cream. I like when the elephant's ice cream melted. At the end, elephant learned that ice cream does melt. I would recommend you to read this book soon." ~ Eric
Second grade students are also learning about paragraphs and bar modeling. One student in Mrs. Sulon's class wrote a paragraph about how to write a paragraph, while another showed his expertise in bar modeling. The pictures below are but a small sampling of the many great learning experiences at Pearl Buck!
