SOME OF OUR HISTORY
The name means "At the great hills". John Smith made the first maps in 1614. We have 100 colonists in colony from the Mayflower. We grew corn, squash, and other crops.

We were founded in 1630. We started this colony because we wanted to get away from the Church of England and have religious freedom from Puritans. We also wanted to study other saints saved by God. John Winthrop was the man who founded our colony. In 1642 we had about 18,000 settlers!
