FHHS Spotlight Artist - Emily Coval
Favorite Media: "Any kind of paint, especially watercolor."
Sustained Theme: "It's 'ruined' pieces. It's stuff I'm proud of in its 'finished' form that has been ruined in some way. Nothing is really ruined if you look at it differently, it's just changed into something new. Mistakes and imperfections are part of the final product. Some of the stuff is literally ruined with stains, tears, etc. and some are ruined in a different way, such as painted book pages, picture collages, and re-purposed materials."
Works: You can view several pieces of work by Emily Coval below.

Participation In FHHS Activities Is About More Than Just Winning
The Francis Howell High School Activities Department believes that all FHHS programs should promote high achievement in all activities, in the classroom, and in the community. Preparing our student-participants is our top priority and being involved in a FHHS activity enhances the overall high school experience of students and staff alike. We recognize our role in developing successful students who represent our programs, Francis Howell High School, the community, and their families in a positive way.
In order to achieve this level of development among our student participants we have developed a set of core values. We ask that all students, staff, parents, and community members involved in our programs embody these core values that are emphasized within our programs.
Below are our R.I.S.E. core values that are the foundation and emphasis of all involved within FHHS activity programs:
Francis Howell High School student-participants and coaches respect others. This includes respect for differing opinions and openness to coaching.
Francis Howell High Scholl student-participants and coaches demonstrate their integrity by being honest and trustworthy in their actions both in and out of activities. The preparation of our student-athletes to become leaders, good citizens and contributors to the community is a commitment by all involved in FHHS activities
Francis Howell High School student-participants practice the ideals of sportsmanship within the framework of a competitive environment.
