Foundation Scholarships
The Norfolk Public Schools Foundation is offering several local scholarships to Norfolk High graduating seniors! By completing one application form you can apply for many scholarships. The due date for all applications is March 25th at 4:00 pm. You will find all instructions, more information, and the application form when you go to the NPS Foundation Page on the NPS District website.
To apply:
- Complete the application form on the NPS website. Make sure you fill in all required fields and mark the scholarships you would like to be considered for. Unfortunately, the forms cannot be saved on or printed off the chrome books. Please use another device.
- Transcripts are required. Contact the counseling center for an official transcript.
- Some Scholarships require essays and/or letters of recommendation. Refer to the individual scholarship description for all requirements.
- If you are applying for scholarships where financial need is part of the criteria, then you must complete the FAFSA and include the “Student Report Summary” with your application. You should receive this within 4 days after applying online or 3 weeks if you apply by mail.

Central Community College Scholarships
1. General Scholarship - Deadline to apply March 1st - The general scholarship application can be located on-line at www.cccneb.edu/financialaid. It is an interactive form and students are encouraged to apply online. However, copies are available in the counseling center. This application serves for all scholarships except ACT Advantage, COMPASS, and Summer Scholarships.
2. ACT Advantage Scholarship - Deadline to apply February 15th - This scholarship is worth $700 for tuition and is based upon an ACT composite score of 21 or above and a minimum GPA of 2.5. In order to be eligible, students must have submitted their ACT scores. Scholarship application forms for the ACT Advantage Scholarship will be sent directly to the student's home address approximately the 2nd week of January.
3. COMPASS Advantage Scholarship - Deadline to apply February 15th - This scholarship is worth $700 for tuition and based upon the following minimum COMPASS scores: Writing 62; Reading 76; Pre-Algebra 49/Algebra 20 and a minimum GPA of 2.5. In order to be eligible, students must have taken the test at CCC or submitted their scores to CCC. Application forms will be sent directly to the student's home address approximately the second week of January.

Southeast Community College Scholarship
Buick Achievers Scholarship
The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program offers 50 scholarships each up to $25,000/year. Students are encouraged to apply:
- high school seniors and current undergraduates
- Those who plan to enroll full time at a four-year college or university in 2015-2016.
- Those who plan to major in a field of study that focuses on engineering, technology, design or business, with an interest in the automotive industry
NSIAAA/NIAA Student Athlete Scholarship
NSIAAA/NIAAA Scholarships award $250-$1500 scholarships to students who have achieved at least two of the following:
a) minimum of B+ average
b) ranked in the top 25% of their class
c) ACT score of 24 or SAT score of 1500
Students must have participated in 2 sports for 2 years and earned at least 1 varsity letter in each of the two sports. Additional information and an application is available at www.nsiaaa.org, click on awards or www.niaaa.org and click on the Awards then NIAAA Student Athlete Scholarship link. Applications are also available in the counseling center. Applications are due February 27th.
UNO Goodrich Scholarship Program
The Goodrich Scholarship Program at the University of Nebraska Omaha is open from October 1st - February 27th. The scholarship program provides:
- Financial aid in the form of tuition, general fees and textbook support
- A specialized two-year writing-intensive humanities and social science core curriculum that emphasizes cultural and intellectual diversity within our local and global communities
- Academic and non-academic support services
The scholarship is a merit-based and need-based. Students are expected to have strong writing skills and will have to take an English Placement and Proficiency Exam. For more information and instructions for application, students should go to the UNO website.
