Dangers of "Frozen" Ponds
We have heard of a few incidents in the past week of kids walking on ponds that are not solid. We just want everyone to be safe!
Tawanka students are combining team building and team sports in the gym. They are building goals out of hula hoops and using them for crab soccer goals.
Martin Luther King Day of Service
Also, Science has been ROCKing as we study Earth Materials and geology. How are rocks formed? We are learning more every day.
Tawanka Service Club
The Tawanka Service Club members truly exemplify citizenship. These volunteer fourth graders help staff members and younger students while spreading Tawanka’s message of kindness and responsibility to the entire school community. We are sincerely grateful for the services they provide.
Read to Succeed
Read to Succeed is an incentive to get more students to read daily. The students are asked to read every day during the months of January and February, totaling 6 hours. They will receive a certificate and a free ticket to Six Flags, Great Adventure Amusement Park in New Jersey, upon completion. The students were given reading logs for parents to sign. The dead line to return the logs to their teachers is Friday, February 22, 2019.
