Bobcat Bulletin

Week of March 1st

Principal Petrick Message

Hello Families,

As we encroach on the planned return of students in person, we are busily at work making our safety plans and ironing out our processes. We are in the process of making a video that will provide you with a great visual of how things will work once we transition to the Hybrid model. We will be showing the video to our students during Morning Meeting so we can pre-teach and hopefully get them comfortable with the processes. We will send it out to parents through next week's Bobcat Bulletin.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Mr. Petrick

School District Plans to Open Fields to Community March 1st

The HSD are opening up their fields to community youth organizations on March 1st. Interested groups can submit reservations requests through Gymnasiums and other inside venues are currently still closed due to county metrics. It's unclear if inside venues will be available for public usage this Spring.

Limited Amount of Art Kits

We have been provided a limited amount of Art Kits. If your student loves art, swing by the school during business hours of 7:30 - 3:30p.m. to pick up an Art Kit. They will be in a bin outside our main entrance doors starting on Monday until they are gone.

Kinder Registration STARTS MARCH 1st

FVPAE Needs Can Driver Volunteer

Farmington View's Can and Bottle Recycling Program is looking for a volunteer to take over transporting the bags of sorted cans/bottles to the Oregon Beverage and Recycling Center in East Portland. Our current volunteer, Dick Meeuwsen, is an FVES alumni father who continues to do FVPAE a huge service out of the kindness of his heart! He is needing to "retire" from his volunteer position due to health reasons but is willing to stick around to show the new volunteer the ropes. If you're interested in volunteering or have questions please contact Natasha at

Details: He uses an 18ft trailer but 16ft would also work. Typically he takes one load per month, although it has increased to two loads since COVID started.
