Last week our JV took 3rd place in the Harrisionville tournament. They did this in a special way. With the game tied and just 4 seconds remaining in the game, Coach Barnes drew up a play to put ZacK Sorrell's in a position to take the last shot. Zack was fouled on the play. With .6 seconds to go in the game, Zack sank 2 free throws to clinch the 3rd place trophy.Tomorrow night, the 9th grade B team will play Lee's Summit West in the championship of the Lee's Summit Tournament.
The varsity will be playing in arguably the toughest tournament in Kansas City area this Thursday-Saturday. The Ray-Pec Tournament (4 teams) and the Blue Springs (4 teams) will be combining their tournaments. Thursday, the Panthers will play their first round games at RPHS. Friday will be at Blue Springs High, and Saturday all games will be at RPHS. Come out and support your Panthers and witness some of the best basketball in the KC area.
