A Note From Mrs. Larson

On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, the Board of Education made adjustments to Resolution 2021-14, which now provides specific return dates for TK-12 students. The updated resolution can be viewed on the Board of Education section of our website. This update provides specific hybrid reopening details based on this resolution. All students in grades TK-6 will have the opportunity to begin hybrid-instruction on April 12, 2021. You can view the elementary hybrid schedule here.

We are beginning to work on each student's class schedule, making balanced classes that prioritize keeping siblings on the same schedule, optimizing specialized support a student might need, and factoring in childcare as we are able.

On Thursday, March 4th at 7 PM, the District will be holding a live general question and answer session for all TK-12 families. This event is intended to answer general questions. You may access the general Hybrid Reopening Q&A Zoom link here. The event will be recorded and available for viewing in the COVID-19 Hub and Hybrid Learning sections of the PCS website.

This week additional tables arrived on campus, we reviewed the hybrid survey data, made plans for shared spaces, and started digging into the details to make all of this happen. More updates to come. Thank you for your support and flexibility.

McKinley's Got Talent

Calling all TK-8th grade musicians, comedians, dancers, magicians, filmmakers, and performing artists!

The McKinley Talent Show is going virtual! Submit a video (up to 2 minutes) featuring your talents to Mr. D-Z and Mrs. Delao by Friday, March 12.

Join the PTA Board for the 2021-2022 School Year!

We are currently recruiting PTA board members for next year. We would especially love to see TK-3rd families step up to leadership positions. Serving on the PTA board is a great opportunity to connect with other parents to help meet the needs of our school community.
