Trenches are dug out from the ground and that's where the soldiers lived and went to the rest room. It was full of rats, lice, and diseases.
No Man's Land
No Man's Land is land no one owns and if you walk through you could be killed by your own teammates crossfire and the other teams bombs. People run into no mans land to raid the other team's base.

They had just made tanks, flame throwers, submarines, poison gas, steal helmets, gas masks, fiying air crafts, etc.
Sacrifices
We had wheatless Mondays and meatless Tuesdays. Which Americans went without meat or wheat to have enough for the soldiers.
