JFK WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
Week of January 24, 2022
Greetings, JFK Families!
As the weekend winds down, we hope it was a great one for all.
Last week, our Winter Music Concerts were a great success, thanks to our dedicated students and the amazing Ms. Carlson with help from the elementary Music teachers! What a wonderful job!
In addition, our second grade hosted New York Times bestselling author and illustrator Brian Lies last week. It was an awesome visit made possible by CAPT support and by the efforts of Maura Bayliss, who always works so hard to bring incredible literary enrichment opportunities for our students!
Lastly, our Grade 1 students were surprised by Officer Eric and Jackie Abrams, who popped in to award them with their Word Detective badges!
This coming week is sure to bring many more exciting learning experiences of our students. With the variable weather, please continue to send students with layers, as we will get outside as much as possible and keep windows open for fresh air.
We wish you a wonderful week ahead!

We will be offering four and five day options and all students will attend 9-1.

Re-share: COVID Reminders
We thought it would be helpful to keep these reminders here this week, as we continue to manage the increase in COVID numbers:
-Please do not send students to school with any symptoms that could be COVID related; please reach out to Nurse Stenmon directly to review symptoms and seek appropriate guidance. Please also contact her ASAP with any positive COVID test results. She can be reached at stenmone@cantonma.org or at 781-821-5080 x5102.
-When sending students to school, please be sure they have a well-fitting mask. While we will be looking for opportunities to have students outside as much as possible, masking indoors is critical.
-Please consider signing students up for regular screening testing, as well as providing consent for Test & Stay, should they become symptomatic at school and/or be identified as a close contact. These are both important ways to ensure the overall health of our school community and to keep kids in school as much as possible. Links for both consent forms are here (and BOTH need to be completed):
To register and sign the consent for student COVID-19 Testing, please click HERE.
