Lunch Time Supervision
At Horning we are committed to have a safe, welcoming lunch environment. As a part of our efforts we would like to have capable, enthusiastic lunchroom supervisors in the cafeteria. Here is where our Horning Community needs your help. We are looking for supervisors to monitor the cafeteria during our 1st lunch, which takes place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:18am-10:48am and Wednesday 10:34am-11:04am. This is a paid duty, $18 an hour. If you are interested in supervising, please send an email of interest to Kenyell Hutchins @ firstname.lastname@example.org with your contact information included. Please note, a background check is required prior to start date. Looking forward to working with you in the near future.

Horning Site Council (Family/Parent Advisory Group)
Site Council is Horning’s family/parent advisory group. Our mission is to build our school community, and to support our learners, families, academics and activities. Feel free to contact us any time at email@example.com. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month in the iCenter (aka Library). Please join us!
We were happy to welcome some new faces at our October 11 meeting! We discussed arrangements for a checking account for Site Council, possible house-specific DonorsChoose or GoFundMe drives and the likelihood of support with the upcoming referendum vote. We also reviewed events/activities from last year and new ideas for this year, combining with existing school events wherever possible to maximize family engagement. Principal Blessington shared highlights from the Hawk Classic fundraiser. October minutes
At our November 8 meeting, we’ll break into workgroups for upcoming events, with an emphasis on the November conferences, and receive an update from Principal Blessington.
