SEL with students and staff
One of our three main focus areas across the district this year is Social Emotional Learning. Through our work with mindful leadership, we have discussed the importance of our own self care and SEL. Our TRAC program is providing students with SEL lessons. Our work as leaders can also focus on the SEL of our staff. What do you to connect with staff? How do you help staff members connect with one another in meaningful ways?
CELEBRATIONS & GRATITUDE!

Please join me in celebrating the following people!
* Thank you to Jamie S. and Jen M. for supporting the LCH team last week with a few challenging situations!
* Congratulations to Jamie H. and her husband on the arrival of their son, Levi Austin Hisojosa, who is absolutely adorable!
I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving and some much-deserved time off! So many people have been battling colds and flus, so I'm wishing you good health for the sprint between now and winter break!

Know My Story/ Know Our Story -- 5 Facts about Us
Andree Grey, Superintendent
- My husband and I will celebrate 28 years of marriage in January. In January, our daughter Maddy will turn 25! Although she lives in Arizona, we talk everyday.
- Before teaching, I was an Instructional assistant and noon duty supervisor with Cajon Valley. I also coordinated summer camps for the city of La Mesa. I continued to do that during the summers even after I started teaching. I have always loved to work!
- I am sucker for a beautiful sunset! My phone is full of sunsets. We will stop everything to check out the sun going down whenever we can. On any given day we can tell you the exact time of the sunset.
- Our dog Buster is 16! Because he is white, he doesn’t show his age so when people see us walking him they think he is a puppy. It is why I stay blond, too.
- I love to cook! It is in my southern blood. I make a mean pot of seafood gumbo. It is almost as good as what I remember my grandma making.
