What are the major functions?
The main function of protein in the human body is building and repairing of body tissues especially muscles. Over 45% of the human body is made up of proteins.
What happens if you don't get enough protein?
One thing that happens is your muscles become weaker. You may get more tired throughout the day, your muscles are becoming flabby, and you are slow to recover from injuries. Some people also report that their hair falls out when they are not getting enough protein.
