Pathos

I know that The Selection is more for girls, but guys if you like romance and Violence then this is the book for you! By violence I mean that the Palace gets attacked a lot. There's also some gore but that's held to a minimum amount. Anyways I really like this book, it has a lot of twists and turns where the Main person America is trying to see if she loves Maxon or Aspen more. Aww que the Romance/Suspense music. No but truly the book does get suspenseful at some points. Which is good because it makes the reader want to read the book more. No one wants a really cliché book where you know every thing that's about to happen. Because then the book is no fun to read, I know as a person I would like some surprises. This book is overall really good.

What is "The Selection" really about?

The Selection is an amazing book about a girl named America. Before America got picked to be in the Selection she was in love with a guy named Aspen. Aspen told America to enter the Selection, so she did. Soon after Aspen broke up with America saying things like "I'm not good enough for you" or " I'm not going to make you a lower caste Mer..." America was really sad, so she thought 'I'm not going to wallow in sorrow anymore. I hope to get picked for the Selection'. Guess what! America got picked to be in the Selection! As a five America never really had the chance to have nice things until she went to the palace. What I mean by Five is that America can only get a job in the music career. She can also only get paid a certain amount of money so her family is really poor. Anyways when America gets the palace she finds things like really, really good food, nice maids, and Maxon. You might be wondering who Maxon is well he is the prince. Long story short, America gets wrapped up is her feelings for Aspen, he can back to the palace, and her feelings for Maxon. Personally I would like for America and Maxon to end up together but you know that's just my opinion. If you want to find out more then just get the book from Mrs. Moulton's library.
