From the Principal...
January 28th, 2022
Dear Westbrook Families,
This coming week, our first graders will hear from Officer-Friendly Greg Sill from the Mount Prospect Police Department. The officer-friendly program aims to enhance students' safety and foster positive relationships. We are thankful to have Officer Sill provide an age-appropriate, engaging presentation to our students. We are also looking forward to a visit from the Mount Prospect Mayor, Paul Hoefert. Mayor Hoefert will be visiting our early childhood classrooms as part of the community helpers theme. Mayor Hoefert will be joining our early childhood learners during their story time.
We are already planning for the 22-23 school year. We have completed our Circle of Friends lottery, and Kindergarten registration starts on February 7th. If you have an incoming kindergartner or know of any incoming kindergartners, please spread the word that registration will begin soon! Families can call the Westbrook office to sign up for a registration date/time (847) 394-7340.
A friendly reminder that PTO special lunch will be on Friday, February 4th.
For your Children,
Kindergarten Enrollment for 2022/23 is underway. Please see information below.
Reporting Absences at Westbrook School
Call: (847) 394-7340 press 1 for the attendance line
Please give the child’s name, date, grade/teacher, and reason for absence. If the school is not notified by the parent/guardian and the child does not arrive at school, the family will be called as per District 57 policy. Thank you for your cooperation.
Arrival/Dismissal Changes? Let the office know.
Call: (847) 394-7340
Last minute changes can cause disruption and confusion in the classroom. Please let the office know as soon as possible when your child's plans have changed, especially if your child rides the bus.
Note from the Nurse: COVID-19 Vaccination Card Information
District 57 offers families the opportunity to voluntarily provide their child’s COVID-19 vaccination status. This information is important to have on file as students who are fully vaccinated (2 weeks post 2nd dose) do not need to quarantine if identified as a close contact (per IDPH guidelines) and remain asymptomatic. We are asking parents to send a copy of their child's Covid vaccination card to the health office after their child receives their second dose.
