"The Deadly Isle"
(It lives up to it's name)
A man named Rainsford who is a hunter, fell off of a boat while looking out at an island which a gun shot had came from. Shortly after he fell off the boat that he was on, Rainsford swam to shore and met a fellow named Ivan who was deaf and mental. Ivan who was a guard to General Zaroff who was also in the military but from germany. While on the island Rainsford stays with General Zaroff at his house. Rainsford also learns that General Zaroff hunts anything and has animals imported to his island so he can hunt and kill them. General Zaroff reveals to Rainsford that the general will be hunting him and will hunt for 3 days.When those 3 days are up and Rainsford is still alive, he will be set free. During the hunt some of General Zaroff's dogs are killed by Rainsford and his brilliant traps. After 3 days General Zaroff gives
up and lets Rainsford free but he can not find him. When General Zaroff is about to go to bed he locks the door to his bedroom for safety but he does not know that Rainsford is in his bedroom hiding in the shadows.
Richard Connell
(10/17/1893-11/22/1949) Richard Edward Connell was born in Poughkeepsie, NY, to Richard Edward Connell Sr. and Marrie Miller Connell. His father worked as an editor and reporter for the local paper before beginning his political career. His father’s connections at the paper later proved useful for Connell, as by the age of 18 he secured a job as an editor. Connell later attended Georgetown and, after the death of his father, Harvard. He served in World War I, and during his service he wrote and edited the camp newspaper. Upon his return from the war, he married Louise Herrick Fox in 1919. Connell’s stories were published in both the Saturday Evening Post and Collier’s Weekly. He died in Beverly Hills, CA at the age of 56.
It's not just any island
This island is the best retreat for any human being on this earth. But its restricted to adults simply because of the fact that its also dangerous. We have luxurious hotels that have been rated 4.5 out of 5 stars that are located all over the island from the beautiful, rocky shoreline to the rain forest located in the center of the island. It has fierce hunting grounds for an island it was wild game that has escaped from explorers in the early 1800's. It is approximately 10 miles long and 15 miles wide. Mountians and hills that have extroidanairy waterfalls that run through the rocks that have green alge that has attatched themselves to them.
The visitors you will probably most likely bump into is the marvolus island owner General Zaroff and also Sanger Rainsford, is an hardcore adventurer who confronts the nature of life and death for the first time.
This island has many rocky shores where you and your family can go fishing and do many other activities. You can let your dog explore the many miles of rain forest, but beware for we have some quicksand pits which we have marked off for your safety. Our glorious hotel has many family friendly activities such as hunting, swimming in the ocean and bird watching.
