Do you have a child entering kindergarten next fall?
Are YOU smarter than the 5th graders?
Find out on Tuesday, April 16, at the 6th annual event organized by the Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota!
Come watch 11 local 5th grade representatives compete to win prizes for their classrooms! These students scored the highest at their school on a qualifying test offered to all 5th graders in the Mankato area.
This year's celebrities are Sue Desteian, retired FRANKLIN teacher, Ann Hendricks, ISD77 board member, and Les Koppendrayer, retired FRANKLIN principal.
Tickets are $10 for adults & $7 for children & can be purchased at the door.
All proceeds benefit the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota.
How can families help with School-wide BINGO?
On Friday, May 3 all Franklin students will be playing BINGO during the afternoon. We will announce numbers over the intercom system as students are in classrooms with their BINGO cards. This means that there will be roughly 450 students playing at once and there will be many, many winners for each round.
We are looking for prize donations. Below is a list of inexpensive items that families could donate:
Candy, Stuffed animals, Coloring books, Books, Hot wheels, Pop, Juice boxes, Pencils, Pens, Markers/crayons, Notebooks, Water bottles/cups, Nail polish, Hat, Fruit snacks, Sports stuff, Shoelaces, Sidewalk Chalk
If you are able, please feel free to donate from this list or any other items that you or your child(ren) think of.
Donations can be brought to the office, and we thank you in advance for your generosity.

Who used the excuse not to cook on Tuesday and joined us at Culver's?
Thank you to everyone who came out to Culver’s on Madison on Tuesday. The Culver’s team was impressed by our turnout. We hope you had fun connecting with other Franklin families. Thanks to your support Franklin PTO made $300.
Do you love a good book?
Bring your favorite book to our final Read Out event of the year on Tuesday, May 14 from 6-7 p.m. and read with your child and other Franklin Falcons. Plus, we'll have a Scholastic BOGO Book Fair that day, so your Falcons can stock up for summer reading. For each book or item purchased, you get a second item for free. Save the date!
Do you scream for ice cream?
If you attended Franklin as a child, you may recall ice cream socials as a fun, family event. We're bringing a little bit of history back with a Family Ice Cream Social on Thursday, May 2 from 5:30-7 p.m. This rain or shine event will be held on the playground or lower level of Franklin. More details to follow, but be sure to mark your calendar to attend.
